Acacia Animal Hospital

Hospital Policies

To keep our staff and clients as happy as possible, Acacia Animal Hospital has put some necessary hospital policies in place. These policies enable us to provide the best and safest possible services for our clients. We kindly ask that you adhere to hospital policies at all times.

Appointment Policy

Acacia Animal Hospital typically operates by scheduled appointments only. We kindly ask that you call to book an appointment a few days in advance whenever possible.

Please arrive 10 to 15 minutes ahead of time if you are a new client and need to fill out paperwork. All paperwork must be entered into the computer, and a new file must be created before you can see the doctor. If you cannot make your appointment, please call ahead of time to let us know. This will allow us to see another patient who may be in need of our services.

Arrival/Waiting Room Policy

We require that all animals are safely secured upon entering our facility. Dogs must be on a leash or in a carrier, and cats or other small animals must also be contained within an appropriate carrier. Even if your pet is well-behaved, please keep them secured at all times whilst visiting us. This is necessary for the safety and comfort of our staff, clients, and your pet as well as the pets of others. Animals that are not properly secured will not be seen by a veterinarian. If you are aware that your dog exhibits aggressive behavior when stressed or frightened, please muzzle them whilst in the waiting room.

Payment Methods

Payment is due in full at the time of your appointment. If you would like to help planning the costs of a visit, we are happy to provide you with a payment estimate over the phone. Please be aware that this is an estimate only, actual cost may vary depending on they services provided during your visit. We accept all major credit cards, as well as cash and CareCredit®.

Prescription Diets

Our veterinarians at Acacia Animal Hospital are happy to provide owners with a specific prescription diet that can take care of their pet’s nutritional needs. If you feel that your animal may require or benefit from a prescription diet, please speak to your vet during your appointment. Prescription diets may help animals who suffer from a wide range of conditions, from obesity and diabetes to allergies. You can purchase your prescription food directly from the Acacia Animal Hospital.
